Use /set link-role to choose the default Discord role players receive after they use /link.
This is one of the first role commands most servers should configure because linked roles are used across shops, rewards, alerts, and access control.
What This Controls
- The default Discord role given to linked players
- Optional platform-specific roles such as Xbox or PlayStation roles
- The role foundation used by other player-facing systems
This command does not link players by itself. It only decides which Discord role Helios should give after a successful link.
Requirements
- The role already exists in Discord
- Helios is connected to your server
- The Helios bot role is above the role you want it to assign
- You have permission to run admin setup commands
Setup Steps
- Create the linked-player role in Discord first.
- Run
/set link-roleand choose that role. - If you separate platforms, also choose your optional Xbox and PlayStation roles.
- Have one test player link their account.
- Confirm the player receives the expected role after linking.

Command
/set link-role role:@Role
Validation Checklist
- The player can complete
/link - The Discord role is applied automatically
- Any role-gated shops or rewards now recognize the linked player
