Admin reference for /random items in Helios.
Overview 🚀
This page covers how to use /random items & /random kits
- Random Items gives out a random item to each player on the server at the frequency you set

- Random Kits gives out a random kit from a list of your choosing to each player on the server or each player with a specific Discord role at the frequency you set.
Setup Flow ✅
- Run /random items server:"<SERVER>" for the target server or scope.
- Review current state before changing values.
- Apply changes, then verify behavior with one controlled test.

Random items /random items
- Run
/random items

What Each button Does:
- Random Items: Off = Toggle for On / Off
- Frequency = How often to give a random item
- Quantity = Simple Quantity toggle
- Custom Quantity = Setup custom minimum and maximum quantities for each item's category
- Black List = Enter item shortnames to block them from being given from random items
Random Items Custom Quantity
- Select a category to enter the minimum and maximum amount to give

Example:
- Random items would give a minimum of 20 ammo, and a maximum of 500 when giving ammo as the item

Random Kits /random kits
- Choose Kits to select which kits to be given out
- Choose Frequency for how often it gives the kit out
- Allows for custom CRON & timezone if needed
- Choose Countdown message to edit the countdown before a random kit is given
- This helps prepare people for the kit!
- Optionally restrict to a Role

1. Choose the kits & Save

2. Set the frequency by clicking Edit Frequency then Save
- Optionally put a time zone if you use a specific CRON, otherwise leave alone

For Frequency:
- 30s = 30 Seconds
- 1h = 1 Hour
- 1d = 1 Day

Check Settings, then Turn on Random Kits

Requirements 📌
- Helios bot connected to at least one server in this guild.
- Discord permissions to run admin commands for this category.
- Correct server selected when the command supports

Notes 📝
- Most admin commands require Manage Server (ManageGuild).
- Panel-based commands are user-scoped; each admin should open their own panel session.
