/settings clan
Admin reference for /settings clan in Helios — every panel button explained.
Overview
/settings clan opens the clan settings panel. It controls how the premium clan system behaves in your Discord: invite and member limits, clan Discord roles, clan channels, nickname prefixes, and the leader role.
- Run
/settings clan. - Review current values in the embed before changing anything.
- Update one setting at a time — toggles apply instantly, limits open a modal.
- Re-open the panel and verify all values show correctly.
Commands Covered
/settings clan
Requires Manage Server permission and an active premium guild.
Example
/settings clan

What each button means:
Invite Limit
- The number of open invites each clan can have at once (0–100)
- Opens a modal to type the new limit
Edit Member Limit
- Max number of members allowed in a clan (1–100)
- Opens a modal to type the new limit
Prefix Nicknames
- Toggle — edits members' Discord nicknames to include their clan tag (e.g.
[ABC] Vert) - Green = on, red = off
Clan Tags In Gamefeed
- Toggle — shows clan tags in front of player names in your in-game kill feed
Toggle Create Role
- Toggle — when on, Helios creates a Discord role for each clan and assigns it to its members
- Uses each clan's color for the role
Hoist Discord Role
- Toggle — displays clan roles separately in the Discord member list (hoisted)
Mention-able Role
- Toggle — lets anyone @mention clan roles in Discord
Sync Leader Role
- Assigns the configured leader role to every current clan leader in one click
- Replies with a summary: how many leaders were assigned, already had it, or couldn't be found
- Disabled until a leader role is selected
Clear Leader Role
- Removes the configured leader role setting (does not delete the Discord role)
Create Channel
- Creates (or updates) a private text channel for every clan, grouped under a clan category
- Only clans at or above the channel minimum get one — see Min Members for Role/Channels
Create VC Channel
- Same as Create Channel, but creates a private voice channel for each clan
Sync Clan Roles
- Re-syncs every clan's Discord role in one click — creates missing roles, updates colors/members, and skips clans below the role minimum
- Useful after turning on Toggle Create Role with existing clans
Min Members for Role/Channels
- Opens a modal with two values: minimum clan size before a clan role is created, and minimum size before clan channels are created
- Keeps 1-person "clans" from cluttering your Discord with roles and channels
Select the Leader Role (dropdown)
- Assign each clan leader a specific role
- Usually "Clan Leader" or something similar
- Good for a quick "@ClanLeader, Clan Event today!"
- Pair with Sync Leader Role to apply it to existing leaders
Requirements
- Helios bot connected to at least one server in this guild.
- Premium active for the guild (clans are premium-gated).
- Manage Server permission.
Notes
- Toggle buttons show their current state: green = enabled, red = disabled.
- Panel-based commands are user-scoped; each admin should open their own panel session.
- The clan role/channel buttons need the bot's Discord role to be high enough to manage roles and channels.
- Player-facing clan controls live in
/clan— see the Clans guide.
