Helios renames a Discord channel to show the selected game server's player count and queue.

Bedwars channel showing 100 players and 13 waiting in the queue

Actual Bedwars channel example: 100 players are on the server and 13 are waiting to join. The queue is separate; this does not mean 113 players are playing. These numbers change as people join and leave.

From the dashboard

  1. Open the game server and choose Overview.
  2. Find Live Player Count Channel and click Configure.
  3. Select a dedicated channel and set any prefix or suffix.
  4. Save and check the channel name after the next update.

Give Helios permission to view and manage the channel. Use a dedicated channel because its name will be updated automatically.

From Discord

/set online-channel channel:#online server:<choose your server> prefix:Players

channel and server are required. prefix appears before the player count; suffix appears after it, before the queue number.

If the count stops updating, check that the game server is connected and Helios still has channel permissions. This is a channel-name counter; for individual arrivals and departures, use a Player Join/Leave Feed.

Updates and other player tools

Helios normally checks the counter about once a minute. Discord can delay channel renames, so a new count may take longer to appear. A count that stays unchanged is not proof that nobody joined or left. Check the connection and permissions before relying on an old number.

For a one-time list of player names, run /whoson. That reply does not keep updating. For an updating message inside a channel, use Discord → Panels → Live Players in the dashboard. These are separate tools; creating one does not set up the others.
