LegalPrivacy Policy
Effective date: April 18, 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how Helios collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Helios website, documentation, Discord bot, premium purchase flow, and connected Rust Console server features.
Summary
Helios uses information needed to operate the website, deliver the bot, support server owners, process premium access, and protect the service.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to:
- The public Helios website and documentation hosted at `heliosrce.com` and related paths.
- The Helios Discord bot, including commands, configuration, moderation tools, and connected feature modules.
- Premium purchase and account workflows that are linked from the website or product.
- Support and communication channels operated for Helios, including the official Discord community.
This policy does not control third-party platforms you use alongside Helios, including Discord, console platforms, game hosts, payment providers, or external websites linked from the service. Those services publish their own terms and privacy policies.
2. Information Helios Collects
Information you provide directly
- Server-owner, admin, moderator, or purchaser contact details you provide in support channels or purchase flows.
- Messages, support requests, setup questions, bug reports, feedback, and other communications you send to Helios.
- Configuration choices you set in the bot, such as channels, roles, permissions, feature settings, and module options.
Information from Discord and connected services
- Discord user IDs, server IDs, channel IDs, role IDs, usernames, display names, and command usage needed to operate Helios.
- Guild, role, and permission metadata required to enforce server-owner settings and moderation boundaries.
- Data received from connected Rust Console servers and WebRCON-based workflows, including event output, player activity, killfeed, alerts, or feature-related state sent to Helios.
Website and device data
- Standard log and diagnostic information such as IP address, browser type, device information, referring pages, timestamps, request paths, and error data.
- Basic usage data about how visitors access public pages and docs, including page views and performance data from hosting or content delivery providers.
Premium and payment-related data
- Purchase status, plan information, order references, and entitlement data needed to activate or manage premium access.
- Payment information is generally processed by third-party checkout or payment providers. Helios may receive transaction status, customer identifiers, or limited billing metadata, but Helios does not need your full payment card number to operate the service.
3. How Helios Uses Information
Helios may use collected information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the website, docs, Discord bot, and premium features.
- Authenticate server connections, enforce permissions, execute commands, and deliver configured bot modules.
- Respond to support requests, investigate incidents, troubleshoot errors, and communicate with operators.
- Process premium access, verify purchase status, and manage related account or entitlement issues.
- Monitor performance, security, abuse, fraud, policy violations, and service reliability.
- Comply with legal obligations, enforce agreements, and protect Helios, users, and third parties.
- Develop new features, documentation, moderation tools, analytics, and operational safeguards.
4. When Information Is Shared
Helios may share information in the following situations:
- With service providers that host, secure, deliver, monitor, or support the website, bot, docs, storage, logging, checkout, or communications.
- With Discord, game hosting providers, payment processors, or other platforms when a feature depends on those services.
- With the server owner, admins, moderators, or authorized team members when data appears in configured channels, moderation outputs, support flows, or dashboards used to run a server.
- When required by law, legal process, regulation, or good-faith requests from public authorities.
- To investigate security issues, enforce Terms of Service, prevent fraud, or protect rights, property, and safety.
- As part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, asset sale, or similar business transfer.
Helios does not need to publish private support content or server data publicly in order to operate the service. Sharing is limited to what is reasonably necessary for the use cases above.
5. Cookies, Logs, and Similar Technologies
The Helios site and docs may use cookies, caching, local storage, server logs, pixels, or similar technologies supplied by hosting and delivery providers to keep the site available, improve speed, detect abuse, and understand basic traffic patterns.
Some browser settings allow you to block or delete cookies. If you do, parts of the site may not work as intended. Helios does not promise that all functionality will remain unchanged if browser or platform restrictions block required technical storage.
6. Data Retention
Helios keeps information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, support server owners, maintain security, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce agreements.
- Operational configuration and entitlement data may be retained while a server or account remains active.
- Logs and diagnostics may be retained for shorter periods tied to security, performance, and troubleshooting needs.
- Support records may be retained as needed to preserve context for recurring issues, billing questions, abuse investigations, or legal compliance.
When Helios no longer needs data for those purposes, it may delete, anonymize, or aggregate it, subject to technical limits, backups, and legal requirements.
7. Data Security
Helios uses administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. No internet or platform-based system can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your own Discord account, server permissions, host credentials, and any linked administrative tools.
8. Your Choices and Rights
You may be able to:
- Update or remove bot configurations from your Discord server if you have the required permissions.
- Disconnect the bot or revoke access through Discord or your server settings.
- Request access, correction, or deletion of certain personal information, subject to legal exceptions, technical limitations, authentication, and the rights of other users.
- Ask questions about premium billing or purchase records through the support channel or provider identified in the purchase flow.
Where privacy laws give you additional rights, Helios will handle verified requests as required by applicable law. Helios may need to confirm identity, account ownership, or server authority before acting on a request.
9. Children's Privacy
Helios is intended for server owners, admins, moderators, and users of Discord-based Rust Console communities. Helios is not directed to children under 13, and Helios does not knowingly request or collect personal information directly from children under 13 through the website. If you believe a child provided personal information improperly, contact Helios through the official Discord support channel so the issue can be reviewed.
10. International Use
Helios may be accessed from locations outside the United States. By using the service, you understand that information may be processed and stored in countries where Helios, hosting providers, platform operators, or service providers operate, subject to applicable law.
11. Changes to This Policy
Helios may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version becomes effective when posted on this page unless a different effective date is stated. Material changes may also be announced through the website, docs, premium flow, or official Discord community when appropriate.
12. Contact
For privacy questions, verified privacy requests, or policy concerns, contact Helios through the official Discord community at https://discord.com/invite/pX79vpMEED.
For premium purchase issues, you may also need to follow the checkout or billing support path presented by the third-party premium provider used in the transaction flow.
