Rust Console Zones for Server Owners

Helios helps Rust Console Edition server owners create and manage zones for events, safe areas, shops, and offline protection workflows. Owners can use zones to turn server rules into something staff can enforce and players can understand.

This is useful for PlayStation and Xbox communities that need event areas, restricted spaces, or ORP-related controls without rebuilding their zone policy every wipe.

Use the linked setup guides to get this running quickly, then test with staff before going live.

Quick take

/zone creates areas on your map with their own rules — safe zones, PvP arenas, radiation fields, no-build areas, and event spaces. Stand where you want the zone, capture your position, pick the rules, done.

Zone rules you can toggle

  • Allow PvP — player vs player damage inside the zone
  • Allow PvE — NPC damage inside the zone
  • Radiation — radiation level inside the zone
  • Building Dmg / Allow Building — whether buildings take damage and whether players can build
  • Show Area + Color — draw the zone outline in game in your chosen color
  • Enter/Leave messages — custom announcements when players cross the boundary

Setup

  1. Run /zone server:"US Main" and click Add.
  2. Stand where the zone should be and click Position to capture it (or enter coordinates).
  3. Name the zone and choose Sphere / Box, rotation, and size.
  4. Toggle the rules you want and click Create Zone.

Frequently asked questions

Are zones free?
Yes. The /zone panel is on the free tier.
Do zones survive a wipe?
Zone positions are map-specific, so re-check and re-place zones after every map wipe.
Can I make a safe zone or a PvP arena?
Yes. Turn PvP off (and building off) for a safe zone, or PvP on with a visible outline for an arena. Radiation, building rules, and messages are all per-zone toggles.
Are ORP zones the same thing?
No. Offline raid protection zones are a separate premium system — see the ORP page.

Build zones that stay enforceable after every wipe.

Define policy first, test boundaries with staff, and keep a documented update checklist.
